Am 9. November 2010 kamen Vertreter der britischen Bahá’í-Gemeinde mit Foreign Office Minister for the Middle East, Alistair Burt, im britischen Außenministerium zusammen. Thema der Unterredung war die Lage der Bahá’í im Iran. Nach dem Zusammentreffen meinte Alistair Burt nach Angaben des Ministeriums:
„I have deep concern at the ongoing harrassment of Baha’is in Iran. In particular, we have not forgotten the plight of the seven Baha’i leaders whose appeal process continues following their appalling conviction to 20 years in prison in August.
We will continue to raise their case internationally, and to urge the Iranian authorities to ensure that the rights of all their citizens are protected, without discrimination, in their courts, and in public life.“
